Sirloin Steak and Avocado Salad

The fusion of flavours and textures in our Sirloin Steak and Avocado Salad are just right for a warm Australian day. Crisp lettuce, creamy caesar dressing, and juicy sirloin steak combine to create the perfectly balanced meal.

Ingredients

  • 1lb (445g)  sirloin steak, about ½ inch (1cm) thick
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 hearts romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 3 hard boiled eggs, diced
  • 2 avocados, diced
  • 2 cups (400g) cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 3 tbsp caesar dressing

Method

  1. Salt and pepper the steak on both sides, making sure to rub in the seasoning.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan over high heat until smoking slightly.
  3. Sear the seasoned steak for about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Rest the steak on a cutting board for 10 minutes – this step is crucial!
  5. Slice the steak
  6. In a large bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, boiled eggs, avocado, cherry tomatoes, steak and caesar dressing.
  7. Toss the salad evenly to coat, and serve immediately.
  8. Enjoy!
